Presenter - Jennifer Watson (City of Gallatin, TN)
Dedicated funding for stormwater infrastructure is essential for communities working to address both aging systems and long-standing drainage challenges. Reliable infrastructure not only protects public safety and property, but also supports economic growth and overall quality of life. The City of Gallatin, Tennessee, established a Stormwater Utility in 2019 to meet these needs. This presentation provides a high-level overview of the steps taken to build community support, successfully implement the utility fee through City Council, and the meaningful improvements that have followed for the community.
